CHILDREN'S WEEKLY PROGRAM
Every Wednesday evening at 7pm! If possible wear something yellow... and get ready to have fun.
The animals are waiting for you...
EXPLORE
“THE FARM” THIS SUMMER!
We are inviting you and your kids (ages 4-12) to experience farming and growing all kinds of stuff with us this summer at “The Farm.” We have many exciting activities that will help you learn about animals, insects, birds, bees, vegetables, flowers and fruits. You will also learn how God created all these creatures and placed them in the farm!
WHAT
YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE FARM…
PURPOSE
Our
goal is to use the very simple things God put all around us to help us learn the
basic lessons we so often miss.
Vegetables,
flowers, fruits and animals will be used to explore the basic questions about
being a Christian and knowing how to know God and His purpose in our lives.

THE FARM
GROWING KIDS FOR GOD
MISSION
Our
mission on The Farm is to literally "GROW KIDS FOR GOD" using the
basic things that are available to us:
·
Scripture memorization
·
Healthy food
·
Music
·
Knowledge of plants and animals and people!
We
want to introduce the kids to:
·
planting scripture into their minds so that it might grow and flourish later in
their lives.
·
expose them to penpals around the world that will show them first hand the
mission of God's missionaries to other countries and inspire a close personal
interest in why people choose to serve God in this way.
·
teach them short but meaningful lessons on plants, animals, spices, tools, bugs
and water & sunshine to show them how God planned to take good care of us
while we live on this earth. Everything we need to be healthy and grow
happy is right here! We will show them one item at a time some good
examples of what those things are and what God put them here for. Also -
where and how they were mentioned in the Bible and how they are still used today
thousands of years later (ie wheat - cinnamon - honey - doves - water/rain,
etc.)
·
we will reap the fruits of our labors (our garden) and show in a hands-on way -
what tithing is and how it works in Gods church.
MOST
IMPORTANTLY...
·
we will take the time every few weeks to explain in simple terms “the
plan of salvation” to the kids and other mysterious subjects like:
* Salvation
* Sanctification
* Baptism
* Tithing
* Bible Memorization
* Mission
These
things won’t be a mystery anymore! And, we will learn about them in
practical hands-on ways where we can see that being a Christian is not hard at
all! Instead it is the most natural and satisfying way to live, especially
when you surround yourself with the proper tools and things that make life just
a little sweeter.
HOW
LONG IS THE PROGRAM?
This
program will run year long with a change of emphasis as the seasons change (
just like on a real farm!)
We
are planting now in spring - and will tend to the garden all summer - then
harvest our fruits in the late summer/fall.
In
the winter months we will focus on animals and tools and insects more and more.
IS
IT TOO LATE TO JOIN?
It
is NEVER TOO LATE to join us! Your kids can join anytime on any Wednesday
between 7:00 pm—8:30pm.
The
activities are ongoing - and the subjects we will cover will be short and
complete.
HOW
MUCH DOES IT COST?
IT’S
FREE to join The Farm.
WHAT
TO WEAR?
We
would love to see the kids start to wear yellow shirts and overalls - but that
is optional - not required.
WHAT’S
BEEN HAPPENING LATELY?
So
far at The Farm - a Petting Zoo that
came to the church parking lot with a donkey - a miniature pony - rabbits and
chickens. Also, Hosanna Homes brought over a young calf and some chicks
and ducks too!
The
second week we had Puppy Night! New puppies were brought over
as well as a couple of older dogs.
The
third week we had our Penpal Night where kids wrote to other kids
from the different countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, etc.
YOU
SHOULD KNOW THAT…
Sometimes
on the
first Wednesday night of the month we have a FREE Hot Dog BBQ served by the
Grandmas and Grandpas where we will all eat supper together before we head out
to work on the Farm!
ACTIVITIES
TO LOOK FORWARD TO…
·
A walking field trip to see a horse nearby...
·
A bee keeper coming to the church bringing some of his bee hives...
·
Visiting a real garden in the yard of a church member…
·
Bottling herbs after they grow…
·
And maybe…… have a Fall Harvest Party in the barn on a ranch up in
Copperapolis!
·
And many more!
DIFFERENT FARM SITES…
Time in the Country Kitchen will bring great nutritious snacks of the fruits and veggies we are studying
as
well as homemade bread with butter we will make ourselves! Served by
loving Grandmas with lots of hugs to spare too!
How about some freshly squeezed lemonade and homemade ice cream on a hot night or steaming sweet cocoa
and
a fresh warm cookie when the nights are cool.
Children
will gather each night with a fun music time around the campfire.
The Barn
Where
Grades K-3 experience and explore why exactly God put things on this earth and
what are we supposed to do with them.
Where
Grades 4-6 learn their valuable lessons about life in the farm.
Where children get the chance to communicate with International Pen Pals every single week!
They will send and receive letters and things from new friends around the world.
(All communication will be filtered through the church office in a secure setting.)
